KOMAD Privacy Policy
This policy explains how KOMAD collects, uses, and stores personal information when you use the KOMAD mobile app and related services (Korean learning, travel planning, reservations, and payments).
1. Information we collect
- Account data: email, name, password hash or social login ID (Google), nationality, language, age range, profile image
- Learning data: progress, quiz/game results, pronunciation analysis scores, bookmarks, in-app messages
- Travel data: plans, preferences, favorites, reviews, location used for transit/weather features
- Reservation data: restaurant reservations created through TableReady integration
- Payment data: Stripe payment records and subscription status (we do not store full card numbers)
- Device/log data: app usage logs needed to operate and secure the service
2. How we use information
- Create and manage your account, and provide learning/travel features
- Personalize recommendations and save progress
- Process reservations and payments you request
- Customer support, security, and legal compliance
3. Sharing
We share data only as needed to operate the service: cloud hosting, payment processing (Stripe), restaurant reservations (TableReady), maps/transit/weather public APIs, and Google sign-in. We do not sell personal information.
4. Retention
We keep account and service data while your account is active. After an approved deletion request, we delete or anonymize personal data within 30 days, except records we must keep for law, accounting, or dispute handling (for example payment logs).
5. Your rights
You may request access, correction, or deletion of your personal information. Use the in-app Profile menu or the Account deletion request page.
6. Children
KOMAD is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect their personal information.
